Latest news - Revised re-registration deadline.
Important update for re-registering housing and transfer applicants.
As you will be aware, we moved to a new online housing application form on Monday 26 July 2021.
We advised all existing applicants to re-register with us using the new online form by Wednesday 15 September 2021, and due to the success in the number of responses we’ve had, we have decided to extend this deadline to give us the time we need to process all re-registrations.
We have extended the new deadline to re-apply to Wednesday 10 November 2021.
It is very important that you re-register, so please ensure that you do so by this new date.
You will need an email address to be able to create an account and then you can re-register for housing. Go to guildford.housingjigsaw.co.uk click on ‘Join the register’. Create an account, then log in to complete the form.
If you re-register by the new deadline of Wednesday 10 November 2021, you may keep your original application date and priority band, subject to verification of your circumstances.
We are not changing the way we prioritise applications, but you must re-register to keep your original band and date. If your household circumstances have changed, we may review the banding of your application.
Managing your housing application online has several advantages:
• Tell us about changes in your circumstances, such as changes to your household or income
• Add electronic copies of documents instead of posting them to us
• Receive email reminders of your annual renewal and quickly renew your application online
• Track the status of your application via your account
Please be assured that you will be able to continue bidding for properties using www.guildfordhomechoice.org.uk , until we confirm a date for switching over to the new system.
Important – Account registration issue
Some applicants are experiencing account registration issues whereby they are receiving an error message stating ‘You cannot register at this time – Please contact your organisation’. If you receive this error message, please email us at Registerforahome@guildford.gov.uk and provide your full name, date of birth and email address that you intend to use for your housing application and we will be able to resolve the issue by sending you an account invitation link.

Annual renewals continue to be suspended.
New applications will not be prioritised for processing until we have finished re-registration.
Garage applications and lettings continue to be suspended.
